The game between third ranked Indios (6-6) and fourth ranked Cangrejeros (5-5) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Indios were crushed by Cangrejeros in Santurce 104-78. Cangrejeros had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American power forward Dewan Hernandez (211-1997, college: Miami, FL) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import point guard David Stockton (180-1991, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists. Five Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Kaleb Wesson (208-1999, college: Ohio St.) responded with 9 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Jorge Pacheco-Ortiz (186-1998, college: Liberty) scored 15 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cangrejeros maintains fourth place with 5-5 record. Indios at the other side keep the third position with six games lost. They share it with Fajardo. Cangrejeros are looking forward to face league's leader Vaqueros in Bayamon in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Indios will play at home against Mets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
