Very important is a home loss of second ranked Gigantes (12-9) against sixth ranked Osos (7-15) on Wednesday night. Host Gigantes were defeated by Osos in a tough game in Carolina 87-96. Osos shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 69.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Isaac Sosa (191-1990, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American guard Sheldon Mac (196-1992, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) contributed with 23 points and 8 assists for the winners. International center George Conditt IV (208-2000, college: Iowa St.) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Jonathan Garcia (183-1987) added 14 points in the effort for Gigantes. Four Gigantes players scored in double figures. Gigantes' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Osos maintains sixth place with 7-15 record. Gigantes at the other side keep the second position with nine games lost. Osos will play against league's leader Piratas in Quebradillas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gigantes will have a break next round.
