Rather expected game when 6th ranked Cariduros (11-19) were smashed by third ranked Capitanes (16-12) in Arecibo 102-70 on Saturday. Capitanes made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Capitanes outrebounded Cariduros 45-32 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Paris Bass (207-1995, college: Detroit) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (202-1989, college: Texas St., agency: 011 Sports) accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Eric Griffin (203-1990, college: Campbell) came up with 21 points and the other American import guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for Cariduros in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Capitanes have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Guaynabo. Cariduros lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 19 games lost. Capitanes will meet league's second-placed Atleticos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cariduros will have a break next round.
