Rather expected game in Carolina where 6th ranked Grises (12-20) were defeated by third ranked Gigantes (16-15) 90-81 on Sunday. Gigantes outrebounded Grises 35-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American Mike Scott (203-1988, college: Virginia) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. International center George Conditt IV (208-2000, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. American swingman James Ennis (201-1990, college: LBSU) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) added 15 points and 11 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gigantes maintains third place with 16-15 record having six points less than leader Quebradillas. Grises lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 20 games lost. Gigantes will meet league's second-placed Atleticos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Grises will have a break next round.
