There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Pollitas (6-8) beat on the road 5th ranked Moca (8-7) 65-59 on Wednesday. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Ariana Moorer (172-1991, college: Virginia) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Adila Gathers (180-1995, college: Niagara) accounted for 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Gathers is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Alexis Jennings (190-1996, college: S.Carolina) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward NDea Jones (188-1999, college: Texas A&M) added 7 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Moca in the defeat. Pollitas moved-up to sixth place. Defending champion Moca keeps the fifth position with seven games lost.
