A very close game took place in San German betweenIndios and Atleticos . Second ranked Indios (6-4) got a very close victory on the road over 6th ranked Atleticos (3-9). Indios managed to escape with a 3-point win 80-77 on Wednesday evening. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Nick Perkins (203-1996, college: Buffalo) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import Milton Doyle (193-1993, college: Loyola, IL) accounted for 8 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Indios players scored in double figures. International point guard Tjader Fernandez (178-1994) came up with 22 points and Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (202-1989, college: Texas St.) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for San German in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Mayaguez maintains second place with 6-4 record having just three points less than leader Caguas. San German lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost.
