The most exciting game of round 12 in the BSN took place in Juana Diaz. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengersAguada (5-8) to fifth ranked Leones (4-4) 75-74 on Sunday evening. Ponce made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Aguada helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American center Royce Hamm Jr (206-1999, college: UNLV, agency: MSG) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. The former international point guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian-American center Chinanu Onuaku (207-1996, college: Louisville) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Ivan Gandia-Rosa (185-1997, college: UNF, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively. Four Aguada players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ponce moved-up to fourth place. Aguada at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost.
