There was no surprise in Carolina where 8th rankedPollitas (4-10) were crushed by fifth ranked Gigantes (7-5) 82-58 on Wednesday. Carolina forced 20 Isabela turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Kiara Leslie (183-1995, college: NC State) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Sara Dickey (177-1995, college: Evansville) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Gigantes players scored in double figures. Forward DeAnna Wilson (188, college: Illinois St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Mikayla Pivec (178-1997, college: Oregon St.) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Isabela lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost.
