Rather expected game when bottom-rankedSanteros (0-4) lost to third ranked Capitanes (3-2) in Aguada 93-97 on Saturday. Arecibo looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American power forward Dewan Hernandez (211-1997, college: Miami, FL) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and Dominican Victor Liz (190-1986) supported him with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Capitanes players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by Serbian-American power forward Nick Rakocevic (211-1997, college: USC, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Aguada . Australian guard Nathan Sobey (190-1990, college: Wyoming) added 18 points and 6 assists for lost side. Santeros' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Arecibo maintains third position with 3-2 record behind leader Mayaguez, which they share with Guaynabo and Carolina. Loser Santeros still closes the standings with four games lost.
