The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th rankedSanteros ' (3-9) road loss to fifth ranked Leones (4-7) in Ponce 77-87 on Saturday. Ponce dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Santeros 's 32. The winners were led by American power forward James Thompson IV (208-1995, college: EMU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds and the former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Five Leones players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by the former international point guard Ivan Gandia-Rosa (185-1997, college: UNF, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Aguada . Australian guard Nathan Sobey (190-1990, college: Wyoming) added 18 points. Santeros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ponce moved-up to fourth place. Loser Santeros keeps the sixth position with nine games lost.
