Rather expected game when 5th rankedAtleticos (6-11) lost to third ranked Leones (8-9) in Ponce 81-90 on Sunday. Ponce made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Matt Mooney (189-1997, college: Texas Tech) accounted for 25 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Guard Andre Curbelo (183-2001, college: Southern Miss) came up with 15 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American forward Jalen Slawson (201-1999, college: Furman) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for San German in the defeat. Five San German players scored in double figures. Atleticos' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Ponce went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Atleticos keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost.
