No shocking result in a game when third rankedLeones (18-16) crushed 6th ranked Santeros (11-23) in Aguada 113-84 on Thursday. Ponce shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Aguada 's players. American guard Michael Devoe (196-1999, college: Georgia Tech) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and the other American import power forward Brady Manek (206-1998, college: UNC) supported him with 18 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 16 points and 18 rebounds by international center Arnaldo Toro (203-1997, college: St.John's) did not help to save the game for Aguada . American John Meeks (197-1999, college: Charleston) added 27 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Leones have a solid four-game winning streak. Ponce maintains third position with 18-16 record having six points less than leader Mayaguez, which they share with Arecibo and Caguas. Aguada lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 23 games lost.
