There was no surprise when 6th rankedMonarcas (6-7) were crushed on the road by third ranked Moca (9-5) 73-51 on Wednesday. American guard Leigha Brown (185-2000, college: Michigan) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Moca players scored in double figures. American forward Tess Amundsen (185-1999, college: CSUN) responded with 21 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-1994, college: Texas) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Moca moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Monarcas keep the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Hatillo.
