Very important is a road loss of third rankedAtenienses (10-7) against fourth ranked Pollitas (11-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Atenienses were defeated by Pollitas in a tough game in Isabela 59-65 . It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Atenienses. Isabela outrebounded Manati 49-29 including 19 on the offensive glass. Pollitas brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American swingman Quionche Carter (183, college: FGCU) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Lasha Petree (183, college: Purdue) supported her with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Even 16 points and 8 assists by the former international point guard Pamela Rosado (165-1986) did not help to save the game for Manati . American guard Kiyana McGill-Jefferson (185-2001, college: Louisville) added 10 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Isabela moved-up to third place. Manati at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost.
