The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th rankedCangrejeros ' (6-9) home loss to fifth ranked Leones (7-9) 92-103 on Saturday. Ponce shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Jalen Crutcher (187-1999, college: Dayton) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The other American import power forward Brady Manek (206-1998, college: UNC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Jordan Howard (180-1996, college: Cent Arkansas) who recorded 19 points and 4 assists and the former international Isaiah Pineiro (201-1995, college: San Diego) added 14 points respectively. Four Ponce and five Santurce players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ponce maintains fifth position with 7-9 record which they share with defeated Santurce . Santurce at the other side dropped to the fifth place with nine games lost.
