Rather predictable result in Caguas where second rankedCriollos (14-8) defeated 6th ranked Piratas (5-17) 99-81 on Wednesday. Caguas dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Piratas ' 32. Caguas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Louis King (201-1999, college: Oregon) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 6 rebounds and 15 assists. Five Criollos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Italian forward Grant Basile (206-2000, college: Virginia Tech) who recorded 23 points and 6 rebounds and DR Congolese guard Emmanuel Mudiay (196-1996) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Criollos have a solid three-game winning streak. Caguas maintains second position with 14-8 record behind leader San German. Loser Piratas keep the sixth place with 17 games lost.
