Regular Season Round 21: Hebraica - Bigua 68-74

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: Bigua (#2) and Hebraica (#8). Despite it looked like an easy game for Bigua, those rules do not exist in derby games. It's more the case of honor for local supporters and such games have that special and unique approach you cannot find in other games. Host Hebraica challenged much higher ranked Bigua giving them a very tough game, but finally losing it by six points 74-68. It was a good game for American Victor Rudd (206-91, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import Donald Sims (190-87, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Gaston Semiglia (186-91) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hebraica. Bigua have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 13-3 record having just three points less than leader Goes. Hebraica lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Bigua's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Malvin.
