There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Olimpia (3-8) lost to thirteenth ranked Urunday (3-8) in Montevideo 60-78 on Friday. Urunday dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpia's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Olimpia's players. The winners were led by American forward Cameron Clark (201-1991, college: Oklahoma, agency: Slash Sports) who scored that evening 23 points and forward Nicolas Catala (196-1991) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even 23 points by American point guard Marcus Thomas (191-1995, college: Rosemont) did not help to save the game for Olimpia. His fellow American import forward Delwan Graham (200-1988, college: Jacksonville) added 13 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Urunday moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with defeated Olimpia. Urunday's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Penarol.
