The most exciting game of round 16 in the LUB took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Penarol (8-7) to sixth ranked Nacional (9-7) 79-76 in the game for the fifth place. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Alejandro Acosta (189-1989) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. American Brandon Nazione (202-1994, college: EMU, agency: Players Group) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Lee Roberts (203-1987, college: Findlay, OH) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Rodney Green (197-1988, college: La Salle) added 20 points in the effort for Penarol. Penarol's coach Pablo Lopez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nacional moved-up to fifth place. Penarol at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Trouville.
