Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: D.Sporting (#1) and Lagomar (#6). D.Sporting (6-0) smashed visiting Lagomar (1-3) by 24 points 85-61. D.Sporting dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Lagomar's 30. D.Sporting forced 29 Lagomar turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by guard Joaquina Gregorio (168-2001) who scored that evening 23 points and 9 rebounds and forward Carolina Curbelo (178-2002) supported her with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four D.Sporting players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds by forward Evangelina Rolon (181-2005) did not help to save the game for Lagomar. Paraguayan forward Natalia Quevedo (170-1998) added 12 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. D.Sporting have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Lagomar at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost.
