Regular Season Round 3: Sayago - Goes 67-70

Important game to mention about took place in Sayago. Goes (3-0) saved a 3-point derby victory on the road edging Sayago (0-3) 70-67 on Tuesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for Spanish forward Manu Vazquez (202-1998) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Angel Arevalo (195-2001) accounted for 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Point guard German Silvarrey (176-1987) came up with 16 points and 5 assists and Argentinian guard Ramiro Santiago (193-1999, college: Harding) added 13 points respectively for Sayago in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Goes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Larranaga.
