The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo:Aguada (#2) and Cordon (#6). Aguada (21-5) won against visiting Cordon (11-15) 109-94 . Aguada dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Cordon 's 42. They outrebounded Cordon 42-27 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Aguada looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Cordon 's players. American center Franklin Hassell (205-1988, college: ODU) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 32 points and 4 assists. Aguada's coach German Cortizas used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Kaleb Hunter (193-1998, college: UNCG) produced 30 points and 7 rebounds and Fernando Verrone (201-1988) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Cordon players scored in double figures. Aguada have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 21-5 record having just six point less than leader Nacional. Cordon at the other side keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost.
