There was no surprise in Las Piedras where 8th rankedJuventud (1-6) was crushed by second ranked D.Sporting (6-1) 94-65 on Saturday. D.Sporting dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Juventud 's 32. D.Sporting forced 30 Juventud turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Juventud 's players. It was a great evening for Sofia Herrera (179-2005) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Josefina Rivera (177-1998) helped adding 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four D.Sporting players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Catalina Pereira (176-2004, agency: BIG) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Valeria Barrett (175-2000) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. D.Sporting have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Yale. Juventud lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with Tabare.
