There was no surprise in Montevideo where bottom-rankedCordon (0-8) was crushed by sixth ranked 25 de Agosto (5-4) 100-53 on Saturday. 25 de Agosto dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Cordon 's 32. 25 de Agosto forced 31 Cordon turnovers and outrebounded them 49-30 including 35 on the defensive glass. 25 de Agosto looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian guard Rocio Bereilh (165-2001) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 9 assists and 13 steals and Argentinian swingman Rocio Sagardoy (176-2000) who added 12 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Five 25 de Agosto players scored in double figures. Forward Milagros Rivero (-2003) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Cecilia Pedetti scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Cordon's coach Matias Bueno gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. 25 de Agosto maintains sixth position with 5-4 record. Newly promoted Cordon still closes the standings with eight games lost.
