Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo:D.Sporting (#1) and Yale (#2). D.Sporting (13-2) won against visiting Yale (11-4) 91-78 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Yale. They outrebounded Yale 46-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. D.Sporting players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Yale 's players. Center Josefina Rivera (177-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and Brazilian guard Jennifer Munoz (170-1991) chipped in 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. D.Sporting's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Argentinian point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Aldana Barragan (-2005) scored 22 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-2 record. Yale at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost.
