No shocking result in a game in Montevideo where seventh rankedBigua (5-4) defeated 11th ranked Cordon (2-7) 84-75 on Saturday. Bigua looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Dominican Jhery Matos (196-1996, college: Charlotte) scored 12 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and American center Franklin Hassell (205-1988, college: ODU) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Bigua players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Admon Gilder (193-1995, college: Gonzaga) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and Cape Verdean Victor Andrade (202-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Bigua moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Aguada. Loser Cordon keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost.
