Very expected game when 9th rankedU.Atletica (3-7) lost to second ranked Nacional (8-2) in Montevideo 72-88 on Thursday. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Connor Zinaich (201-1997, college: Nova SE) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Patricio Prieto accounted for 19 points and 5 steals for the winning side. Nacional's coach Alvaro Ponce used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Quatarrius Wilson (203-1996, college: SEMO, agency: One Motive Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Italian point guard Mateo Giano (186-2000) added 14 points respectively for U.Atletica in the defeat. Defending champion maintains second place with 8-2 record having just one point less than leader Penarol. U.Atletica lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Goes.
