Very important is a road loss of second rankedAguada (12-6) against twelfth ranked Welcome (3-16) on Friday night. Visiting Aguada was defeated by Welcome in Montevideo 86-74 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Aguada. Welcome dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Aguada 's 38. Welcome looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The winners were led by American power forward Rashad Hassan (203-1989, college: SSU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Rick Jackson (206-1989, college: Syracuse) supported him with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Even 13 points and 9 rebounds by Dominican center Luis Santos (203-1994, college: St.Louis) did not help to save the game for Aguada . point guard Juan Santiso (185-1994) added 4 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the guests. Aguada's coach German Cortizas tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Welcome moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Cordon. Loser Aguada dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with Nacional.
