Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo:Yale (#6) and 25 de Agosto (#8). 25 de Agosto was crushed at home by 27 points 55-82 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Yale made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 25 de Agosto turnovers. Yale players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Argentinian guard Paola Alegre (162-2001) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 assists. Argentinian power forward Giselle Botta (180-1999) accounted for 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Camila Castro (168-2004) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Melina Aguilar (-2004) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for 25 de Agosto in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
