An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Tabare. Third rankedMalvin faced 4th placed Tabare . Guests from Montevideo (5-1) smashed host Tabare (3-3) 72-49 . Malvin dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Tabare 's 24. They outrebounded Tabare 45-29 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Malvin players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Selena Medrick (177-2002) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Paula Fernandez (178-2005) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Malvin players scored in double figures. Argentinian point guard Abril Ramirez (167-2000, agency: BIG) answered with 16 points and point guard Juana Isern (167-2009) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tabare. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Malvin . They moved-up to second place. Tabare at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Yale and Lagomar.
