Semi-Finals Game 2: Defensor - Penarol 61-81

Penarol forced 24 Defensor turnovers and outrebounded them 43-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. Defensor was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Martin Rojas (195-1998) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Brazilian Gabriel Galvanini (204-1998) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Penarol players scored in double figures. Even 6 points and 8 rebounds by Venezuelan center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville) did not help to save the game for Defensor . American Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) added 11 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
