Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo:Malvin (#2) and Cordon (#8). Cordon was crushed at home by 61 points 18-79 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Malvin held Cordon to an opponent 15.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Malvin forced 30 Cordon turnovers and outrebounded them 48-28 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Malvin (7-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place behind leader D.Sporting. Cordon lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost.
