Regular Season Round 4: Trotamundos - Diablos 75-66

Rather expected game in La Asuncion where 5th ranked Diablos (2-2) were defeated by third ranked Trotamundos (1-3) 75-66 on Sunday. Trotamundos outrebounded Diablos 44-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International forward Miguel Ruiz (197-90) fired 6 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Argentinian Joe Meneses (186-1) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Kelvin Caraballo (198-88) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Juan Mejias (184-95) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Trotamundos went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Diablos dropped to the third place with two games lost. Trotamundos will meet Llaneros (#6) in the next round. Diablos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Caracas to the arena Cocodrilos.
