Regular Season Round 8: Marinos - Guaiqueries 100-98

First defeat of league's leader Guaiqueries (5-1) against fourth ranked Marinos (1-4) 100-98 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Guaiqueries. Marinos forced 19 Guaiqueries turnovers. Dominican Yeison Colome (190-1996) orchestrated the victory by scoring 46 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Forward Miguel Fernandez (194-1992) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Marinos' coach Lucas Zurita used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American-Nigerian swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-1994, college: UCF) replied with 23 points and American-Dominican center Justin Satchell (203-1995, college: St.Leo) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Guaiqueries. Five Guaiqueries players scored in double figures. Marinos maintains fourth position with 1-4 record. Guaiqueries at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Piratas. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
