Regular Season Round 12: Broncos - Taurinos 103-95

The game between Top Four teams took place in Caracas. First ranked host Broncos (8-2) defeated 3rd ranked Taurinos (3-8) 103-95. Broncos forced 23 Taurinos turnovers. Strangely Taurinos outrebounded Broncos 52-39 including a 39-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Garly Sojo (196-1999, agency: Pro Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 16 rebounds, 8 assists and 8 steals. American swingman Jordan Williams (198-1992, college: N.Texas) chipped in 23 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American JD Weatherspoon (198-1992, college: Toledo) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Dazon Ingram (196-1997, college: UCF) added 14 points, 18 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Five Broncos and four Taurinos players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Broncos have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-2 record. Loser Taurinos dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost. Broncos will meet at home league's second-placed Trotamundos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taurinos will play against Toros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
