Regular Season Round 35: Trotamundos - Broncos 87-93

There was a small surprise in La Asuncion where third ranked Broncos (19-7) defeated leader Trotamundos (20-6) 93-87 on Sunday. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Broncos looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Tyreke Evans (198-1989, college: Memphis) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import swingman Jordan Williams (198-1992, college: N.Texas) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Broncos' coach Nestor Garcia used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Dwayne Davis (196-1989, college: Southern Miss) produced 22 points and the former international center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Broncos. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Cocodrilos. Defending champion Trotamundos still keep top position with six games lost. They share it with Guaros.
