Dominican guard Juan Suero (196-1993) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Luis Bethelmy (200-1986) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Trotamundos' coach Nestor Salazar used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international point guard Edwin Mijares (186-1992) responded with 11 points and 6 assists and American swingman Micheal Warren (196-1995, college: CSUN) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Gaiteros players scored in double figures.
