Guaiqueries outrebounded Marinos 36-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. American guard Nahziah Carter (198-1999, college: Washington) fired 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. ex-international guard Pedro Chourio (196-1990) chipped in 24 points. American forward KJ McDaniels (197-1993, college: Clemson) produced 14 points and swingman Luis Duarte (190-1994) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Marinos players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
