Regular Season Round 20: Arturo Prat - Arabe de Valp. 88-59
Date: December 4, 2021
Bottom-ranked Arturo Prat managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of twelve consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time they outleveled eighth-ranked Arabe de Valp. in San Felipe 88-59. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 29-point difference proves that Arturo Prat was well-prepared to that game. 24 personal fouls committed by Arabe de Valp. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for guard Adrian Toro (176-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Forward Jose Naranjo (180-93) helped adding 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four Arturo Prat players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international center Patricio Briones (212-72, college: Miami Dade CC) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and Bastian Moran (-96) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Arturo Prat maintains tenth place with 2-16 record. Arabe de Valp. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost.
