There was an upset in Santiago where higher ranked Luis Matte (3-3) was defeated by eleventh ranked Sergio Ceppi (3-2) 69-53 on Saturday. Sergio Ceppi forced 20 Luis Matte turnovers. The best player for the winners was Boris Guerra (-1987) who scored 23 points. The former international Julius Holt (187-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. Four Sergio Ceppi players scored in double figures.
