There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in ABBA. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Potters S. - Slam 77-56 The game between closely ranked teams ended with Slam's (2-2) road loss to Potters S. (4-1) 56-77 on Saturday. Potters S. forced 42 Slam turnovers. Strangely Slam outrebounded Potters S. 72-48 including a 34-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Potters S. made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Cohen Desouza who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Welsh point guard Jacob Lloyd (183-1994, college: Harris-Stowe St.) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Ezekiel Francois (-2001) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 22 rebounds and Dominican Shawn Thomas added 6 points and 19 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Potters S. will meet Baldwin Braves (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Slam will play against Cutie Ovals and hope to secure a win. Hosts were defeated by Stingerz (4-0) 69-62. Stingerz forced 26 Cutie Ovals turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Jayden Andrew who led the winners and scored 25 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Keroi Lee accounted for 5 points, 16 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals for the winning side. American guard Joshua Minner (198-1990, college: MACU) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds and the former international guard Kareem Edwards (193-1990) added 16 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Cutie Ovals in the defeat. Lincoln Weekes chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Ottos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Shaeim Omarde who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and guard Bernard Andrew added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. It was a great evening for forward Keroi Lee who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists. Donte Trimingham helped adding 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Warren Bogle with 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Morlon Davis scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ottos' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ottos will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Stingerz will try to continue on its current victory against Flyers at home.
