Lanus celebrated Superliga title. They overcame Estrella Berisso in the championship game to get the crown. Estrella Berisso trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 17-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 58-66 at the end of the game. The former international point guard Nadia Flores (171-90) stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Cuban point guard Dairis Tornell (176-92) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side international power forward Ornella Santana (183-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the former international Andrea Boquete (183-90) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Estrella Berisso players scored in double figures. Obras fired past Union Florida to step onto the pedestal as they claimed the Bronze medals. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Union Florida won third quarter 15-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Obras dominated on the defensive end, holding Union Florida to just 5 points in second quarter. They held Union Florida to an opponent 19.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Obras forced 20 Union Florida turnovers and had a 39-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. Union Florida was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Belen Echeverria (178-89) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side and international power forward Sofia Aispurua (189-95) accounted for 15 points and 4 blocks. Four Obras players scored in double figures. Cuban forward Francy Ochoa (185-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and guard Florencia Martinez (171-94) added 8 points and 4 assists respectively for Union Florida in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
