   The XVII All-Star Game
The stars congregated again in Mar del Plata after one edition in Parana, Entre Rios. The people responded with enthusiasm with and attendance of more than 10,000 people over the two days of event. It was a real success.
The first day of the All-Star Game featured the TNA vs. Liga A match (again, the TNA team beat the A-League stars). The MVP honors corresponded to Quimsa's inside presence Ernesto "Goofy" Currat, who collected 20 points and 13 rebounds. The Qualifying Stage of the Dunk Contest was also held in the first day. It was spectacular. Mariano Fierro, from Estudiantes (O), and Marcos Piedrabuena (Alma Jrs., TNA) gained access to the final. Fierro gifted the people with one of the most amazing moments in the All-Star Game, with a between-the-legs dunk, ala Vince Carter. Raheim Brown didn't qualify but showed us his great athletic ability with a dunk jumping over Diego Prego, member of one of the Liga A Teams.
The Qualifying stage of the Three-Point Shootout featured a really sharp Sherrell Ford, who got 14 of 16 possible points. He and Eduardo Domine, the two-time defending
champion, advanced to the final.
In the second day, the most interesting match, Liga A vs. Import Players, had place, with the domestic resulting winners and a special guest: the recently retired Hector "Pichi" Campana, the league's all-time leading scorer, MVP, All-Star MVP, Dunk Contest Champion, Three-Point Shootout Champion and seven times Liga-A champion, as a member of the Liga A Stars Team.  Boca's Paolo Quinteros was the game's MVP.  Before the game, the Three-Point Shootout Finals were played and Sherrell Ford was the winner, dethroning the two time winner Eduardo Domine. Penarol fans made their presence be noticed in this contest, applauding Ford and heavily booing Domine, a former Quilmes player (remember that Quilmes
is the city neighbor and archenemy of Penarol). The Dunk Constest Finals were pretty disappointing, especially in comparison with the First Round. Mariano Fierro was the winner and the recipent of the $1500 check. Both he and Piedrabuena missed one dunk each in the final stage.

AWARD WINNERS RECAP:
3-Point Shootout Champion: Sherrell Ford (Pearol)
Dunk Contest Champion: Mariano Fierro (Estudiantes Olavarria)
Liga A vs. TNA match MVP: Ernesto Currat (Quimsa)
Liga A vs. Import Players match MVP: Paolo Quinteros (Boca)
