Gabriel Cocha, the finals MVP scored a couple of free throws with as game six came to a close, and Gimnasia defeated Libertad 84-80 to win the series 4-2 and the National Title for the first time.
Cocha ended with 14 points, while Pablo Moldu led Gimnasia with 19, Jervaughn Scales added 17 and Dirgo Romero, who played only this game replacing injured Ruperto Herrera scored 12. Roberto Lopez led Libertad with 22, Diego Cavaco added 21 and Sebastian Ginobili 18.
This is the first title for Gimnasia which joined the league in the 1990 season after getting promotion from the second level in 1989.

   All-Stars Game 2006
The Liga Nacional's Argentinian stars ran out 92-89 winners over the league's foreign players in the All Stars clash at Polideportivo stadium.
Leonardo Gutierrez of Ben Hur inspired the Argentinian side to victory, scoring 24 points in a man-of-the-match performance, while Paolo Quinteros of Boca Juniors netted 18 points.
The result followed a 120-107 win for the Liga Nacional's 'A' team over the TNA side, comprised of second division players.
Experienced River Plate star Bruno Labaque scored 24 points as captain of the Liga Nacional outfit and took the Most Valuable Player prize.
