Flexicar Fuenlabrada Madrid (Primera FEB) has re-signed 24-year-old Argentinian-Italian international 186cm guard Mateo Diaz for the upcoming season. He is the second foreign player on the roster, with Brazilian Vitor Benite having signed earlier. Diaz played for the team last season, averaging 13.1ppg, 4.2rpg, 3.9apg, and 1.2spg in 36 Primera FEB games. He also helped them reach the Spanish Primera FEB Cup Semifinals. In the previous (2024-25) season, he played for another Spanish team, Guuk Gipuzkoa Basket San Sebastian.
He has also been a member of the Argentinian international program for some years. Diaz has regularly played for the Argentinian senior team since 2025 and previously for the Under 17 National Team in 2019.
He is a very experienced player. Diaz has played between Colombia (Toros and Motilones), Spain (Caceres, Breogan Lugo, Estudiantes Lugo Rio de Galicia and Almansa), Argentina (Central Entrerriano Gualeguaychu) and Colombia.
He played in the final of the Colombian LPB Apertura in 2024.
