Villa Mitre de Bahia Blanca (La Liga Argentina) strengthened their roster with the addition of Alvaro Yarza for the 2026-27 season. He is not a newcomer in the Argentinian League as he was the best passer at U.Mar del Plata last season. In 32 La Liga Argentina games in Argentina, he recorded 11.6ppg, 4.4rpg, 3.6apg, and 1.3spg. The previous season (2024-25), he played at another Argentinian team, Racing Club Avellaneda (La Liga).
He has played previously for three other teams: Estudiantes Concordia, Estudiantes La Plata Buenos Aires, and Platense.
Yarza assisted his team in reaching the LNB Torneo Super 20 Semifinals in 2024.
