Filloy is back at Pistoia

Ariel Filloy

Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia (Serie A2) signed experienced 39-year old Italian-Argentinian ex-international point guard Ariel Filloy (190cm-86kg-1987, agency: Interperformances) for the upcoming 2026-27 season. It is actually his comeback to Pistoia as he has played here before. He has played for the last two seasons at Akern Libertas Livorno in the Serie A2. In 40 games, he had 7.2ppg, 2.3rpg, and 2.0apg last season.
He was also a member of the Italian international program for some years. Filloy played for Italian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2019 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2007.
He has spent his entire career in Italy playing for eight other teams: Pesaro, Reggio Emilia, Trieste, Rimini, Umana Venezia, Cervia, Avellino, and Scafati.
Among many awards, he won the Italian Serie A2 Gold championship title in 2024. Filloy was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A Honorable Mention back in 2017. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Pistoia.
