Lanus add Ramirez to their roster

Claudio Ramirez

Newly promoted Club Atletico Lanus (La Liga) added experienced 36-year-old ex-international forward Claudio Ramirez (200cm-1990) to their roster for the 2026-27 season. Ramirez, who played for Regatas in the last two years, recorded 11.8ppg, 5.5rpg, and 1.1apg in 41 La Liga games in Argentina last season. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian League Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week, making it a quite impressive year for him.
Ramirez was part of the Argentinian international program for several years. He played for the Argentinian Senior National Team between 2012 and 2023 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2009.
He also represented Argentina at the Panamerican Games in Santiago (Chile) three years ago.
Ramirez has played also in Brazil (Paschoalotto/Bauru and Universo/Goiania), Uruguay (Cordon) and Argentina (Boca Juniors, Quimsa, Olimpico and San Martin).
Among many awards, his team won the Interligas Cup in 2025. He was also selected as the Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian League Domestic Player of the Year in 2024. Ramirez is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Lanus.
