Gallizzi comes back to Quimsa

Tayavek Gallizzi

Quimsa Santiago del Estero (La Liga) strengthened their roster with the addition of 33-year-old ex-international 206cm power forward Tayavek Gallizzi for the upcoming season. It is actually his comeback to Santiago del Estero as he has played here before. He played most recently at Regatas (La Liga). In 32 games, he recorded 10.1ppg and 4.9rpg last season. It was a good year as he was voted League Player of the Week. The previous (2024-25) season he played at Flamengo (NBB) in the Brazilian league. He also played 35 games in the Brazilian NBB where he averaged 6.1ppg and 3.1rpg that year.
Gallizzi was also a member of the Argentinian international program for some years. He played for the Argentinian Senior National Team between 2014 and 2023 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2011.
Gallizzi also represented Argentina at the Panamerican Games in Santiago (Chile) three years ago. His team won Gold and he averaged over 2 points per game.
He has played also in Brazil, Uruguay (Atenas), and Argentina (Quilmes, La Union, Instituto, and Villa Angela).
