Regatas add Acuna to their roster

Roberto Acuna

Regatas Corrientes (La Liga) added experienced 36-year-old ex-international center Roberto Acuna (208cm-1990) to their roster for the 2026-27 season. He is not a newcomer in the Argentinian League, as he played last season at Penarol. In 38 La Liga games in Argentina, he recorded 5.4ppg and 4.1rpg. For the two previous seasons (2023-25), he played at another Argentinian team, Instituto Atletico Central Cordoba. He also played 15 games in La Liga, where he averaged 4.3ppg and 2.4rpg in the 2024-25 season.
Acuna has also played in Colombia (Storm), Mexico (Soles), and Argentina (Gimnasia, Ciclista, Quimsa, Olimpico, and UNCAus).
Among many awards, his team won the Argentinian Super 8 Cup in 2024. He was voted to the Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian League Honorable Mention back in 2020. Acuna is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Regatas.
